Find Johnson County Traffic Tickets

Start your Johnson County traffic tickets search with the court printed on the citation itself. Indiana traffic cases may land in a county trial court, in Franklin City Court, or in Greenwood City Court, so the issuing agency is only half the story. Once you know the court, look up Johnson County traffic tickets by citation number or by party and case details. The clerk maintaining the file can confirm your hearing date and response options. The court record tracks the citation case and its events. A state driving record is a separate file kept elsewhere, and public access lets you check a court date, request copies, and see what the court has on file.

Johnson County Traffic Court Records

Not every ticket lands in the same courtroom. County infraction and ordinance cases usually go to Johnson County Superior Court 3. Franklin City Court assigns cases the 41H01 prefix. Greenwood City Court uses 41H02. It hears misdemeanors and infractions across all of Johnson County along with Greenwood ordinance cases. So the court named on the citation matters more than where you live.

The event log for any of these courts is the Chronological Case Summary. It is usually called the CCS. The CCS can list the filing, the violation, hearings, a plea, judgment, payment, and later events. MyCase Indiana shows many entries online. Still, that display is not the official record. The county Clerk or the city-court clerk keeps the controlling file.

Johnson Citation Number or UTT

Both MyCase and ePay lean on matching keys. MyCase gives you a Citation Number field next to Case Number and Cross Reference. The official ePay Public Access service labels the ticket key a UTT. Keep every letter and leading zero intact. A case number works best once Odyssey opens the case. But the UTT may surface an eligible ticket sooner.

Looking Up a Traffic Ticket

Stick to official channels and keep the citation in hand. A police or town payment page is not automatically the court record.

  1. Read the citation for its UTT, agency, court, and response date.
  2. Search ePay by UTT, license number, or name and date of birth.
  3. Search MyCase under Johnson County and Criminal & Citation.
  4. Call or visit Superior Court 3, Franklin City Court, Greenwood City Court, or the Johnson County Clerk if needed.
  5. Send copy requests to the maintaining court, not the issuing town.

MyCase tracks case events. ePay handles eligible payments. For a balance, a date, a certified disposition, or anything missing online, ask the clerk, either at the counter or by mail.

When Johnson Tickets Do Not Appear

ePay warns that a new citation can take up to ten business days to show up. That is the typical delay. A blank result does not erase the notice or its deadline. Retype the exact UTT, keep the zeros, switch search methods, and check MyCase. Then call the court printed on the ticket before the response date.

No result: Do not send money to an unrelated vendor or Town Hall because an official court search has not posted the case.

Johnson County Traffic Court Dates

The citation may list only an appear-by date, while the CCS shows a scheduled hearing. Confirm the current event before you travel. Indiana's Trial Court Calendar currently lists Greenwood City Court for Johnson County but not Franklin City Court or every county bench. If an entry is missing, check MyCase and call the clerk.

Franklin Monday Traffic Sessions

Franklin City Court handles traffic infractions and city ordinance violations. Sessions start Mondays at 9:00 a.m. at 2851 North Morton Street. Cases are usually called alphabetically. "Usually" is no promise of order, so arrive ready to wait.

The clerk answers the phone at 317-736-3619. Office hours run Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Cashier service closes at noon. It reopens from 1:00 to 4:00. Older official material listed 1 Caisson Drive, so verify the current address before mailing anything.

Pay or Contest a Ticket

Paying a ticket does more than clear a balance. ePay states that an admission or no-contest plea results in judgment and waives trial rights. To fight the ticket, follow the court's plea and hearing instructions. Deferral exists only if the live system offers it, and the court must confirm Johnson eligibility.

Missed response: Indiana BMV warns that failure to appear or pay after judgment may lead to suspension; Greenwood also warns of a warrant.

Greenwood Traffic Docket Reach

The Greenwood City Court profile says the court hears misdemeanors and infractions alleged anywhere in Johnson County. It also covers Greenwood ordinances. It reports 1,200 to 1,500 misdemeanor filings and 4,000 to 6,000 infraction and ordinance filings each year. Use MyCase court code 41H02. The first setting arrives by mail. Later settings are announced in court, and electronic devices are banned from the courtroom.

Johnson Payment Fees and Copies

Fees shift with the channel you choose. ePay offered a $1 ticket copy when available. Juvenile copies are not offered there, even when payment itself is allowed. Its interface returned 1.96 percent processing. It also added a $0.40 Instant Access charge, a $2.50 Division charge, and a $0.50 IOT charge. Verify the live total before you pay.

Johnson Traffic Record Access

Online access starts with MyCase, ePay, and the limited Court Calendar. The Johnson County Clerk offers phone and counter routes. So do Superior Court 3, Franklin City Court, and Greenwood City Court. Franklin also permits payment by mail. A written request can seek a citation, a judgment, or a certified disposition. Indiana access rules generally make public material available. Sealed, confidential, and juvenile information may be limited, though. For wider searching, try the Johnson County case lookup.

Johnson County Citation Case Codes

Every Indiana traffic case carries a uniform case number. Each piece of it means something. Johnson County is county 41. That number comes first. 41C01 marks Circuit Court, while 41D01 through 41D04 cover the four Superior Courts. Two city courts appear as well. 41H01 is for Franklin City Court. 41H02 is for Greenwood City Court. After the court segment comes the year, then the month. The case-type code usually reads IF for an infraction or OV for an ordinance violation. A misdemeanor traffic allegation may carry CM instead. The digits at the end are just the filing sequence. They are not a balance and not a hearing date.

The prefix tells you where a Johnson County court docket actually lives. A 41H01 record stays with Franklin City Court. Franklin is also the county seat, but that does not move the file. A 41H02 record belongs to Greenwood City Court. That holds true no matter where in Johnson County the infraction happened. A 41D03 record points to Superior Court 3. Know only the UTT? Search that first and let the result reveal the Odyssey number. With the full number in hand, type every segment. That way MyCase lands on the exact file.

Johnson Clerk Copy Requests

A docket view on a screen helps you follow a case. It is not a certified court record. When you need a certified disposition, a signed judgment, a full citation, or a filing you cannot pull up, ask the clerk who holds it. Include the court name and the case or citation number. Add the record you want, how you want it delivered, and your phone or email. One caution: do not send a Greenwood City Court or Franklin file request to the Johnson County Clerk. That shortcut fails unless the docket shows the case was moved to county court.

Call when you just need a date or a balance. The counter staff can point you to the right public file and walk you through copy options. A mailed request works if the court takes written ones and you have confirmed the address. MyCase gives the first public look at a Johnson County court docket. But it can skip older material, confidential papers, and anything not posted online. Indiana's state public-record route covers records held by its judicial administration office. So it rarely fits a local traffic ticket. Keep each request aimed at the clerk who can actually fill it.
